MASK POLICY UPDATE
At the Golden Corridor Family YMCA, the safety and well-being of our members, staff, volunteers and participants has and always will be our top priority.
On February 28, 2022, Governor Pritzker signed Executive Order 2022-06 lifting the mask requirement in most indoor settings. In accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, the executive order also lifts the mask requirement in K-12 schools and daycares.
People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should always wear a mask.
School districts and private businesses can continue to require masks at their discretion. While masks for the general public are not required, there are times and people for whom they are recommended. CDC’s mask use guidance provides additional information when to wear a mask and considerations for specific groups of people, such as those with weakened immune systems or medical conditions that put them at risk for severe covid.
