Campanelli Branch YMCA Employment

Campanelli YMCA employs people in a variety of full-time, part-time and seasonal positions. We offer a great working environment and competitive pay. Full-time and part-time plus employees receive a range of employee benefits.



Currently hiring part-time positions. Openings include early morning, daytime, evenings, or weekends. 

Group Fitness Instructors
  • Current Group Fitness/Exercise Instructor certification from nationally recognized organization, or certification to instruct from a branded program such as Les Mils, Barre, or Zumba.
  • Design and lead fitness classes for any level of fitness. 
  • Follow basic principles of group fitness instruction, consistently comply with guidelines set by the YMCA and nationally accredited group fitness certification bodies.
Indoor Cycling or Spin Instructor
  • Indoor Cycling/Spin Certification from recognized accredited organization, or Group Fitness instructor certification with a Spin, Cycling, GEAR, or similar training/endorsement.
  • Design and lead 30-45 minutes spin classes suitable for any level of fitness. Supply own music and choreography. 
  • Follow basic principles of group fitness instruction, consistently comply with guidelines set by the YMCA and nationally accredited group fitness certification bodies.
Wellness Staff 
Qualifications (One of the following)
  • Certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, or wellness coach.  Applicants will be considered if actively seeking these certification and expect to be fully certified within next 6 months.
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in exercise science or equivalent.  
  • Provide one-on-one instruction on the proper use of the cardio and resistance equipment on premises.
  • Help members establish a healthy fitness routine and discuss all aspects of an active lifestyle. 
  • Keep accurate records of clients’ progress. Follow-up as needed.
Personal Trainer
  •  Current Personal Trainer certification from nationally recognized organization.
  •  1-3 year experience preferred.
  •  Develop personal training programs unique to each client’s expressed goal.
  • Serve in a Wellness Coaching capacity and assist with the Teen Start orientations as needed. 
  • Maintain the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform at or above YMCA standards; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology related to personal training.



Summer Camp Counselors - Full time seasonal

Available positions can range from management and administration to programs, facilities, and summer camp. Most of our available positions are in these areas:

  • Aquatics (positions such as lifeguarding and swim instructor)
  • Fitness/Wellness (positions such as personal trainer, group exercise, field house manager)
  • Childcare (preschool, before/afterschool, ‘Mazing Kids Zone)
  • Membership Services/Front Desk (am and pm shifts)
